Friends in Unity with Nature will visit the James Turrell installation "Meeting" at the P.S.1 On Sunday March 12 at 5:00 p.m.

Contemporary Arts Center in Long Island City,  22-25 Jackson Ave. "Meeting" will be open for viewing an hour before dusk (weather permitting!) from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Please come, and bring family and friends!

Turrell is a Quaker artist who created the Live Oak Friends Meeting House in Houston, among other works, and who says that this installation "has to do with the meeting of space that you're in, with the meeting of the space of the sky."

We'll meet at 5:00 inside the museum, on the 3rd floor, outside the room where "Meeting" is located, Room N306, near the "B" stairway.

        DIRECTIONS:

By subway: Take the E train to 23 St./Ely Avenue. Exit onto 44th Ave to Jackson Ave. Walk one block south to 46th Ave.

Or, take the #7 train to 45 Road/Courthouse Square. Exit onto Jackson Ave. Walk one block south to 46th Ave.

ADMISSION: $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for students and seniors, free for MOMA members.

We won't have a formal meeting afterwards but we'll gather for a meal. Please let Janet Soderberg (jesoderberg@verizon.net) or Pat Chernoff(patriciachernoff@verizon.net) or Sally Arteseros (SArteseros@cs.com) know if you plan to attend.

And please hold Sunday April 23, 6:00 p.m., for the FUN meeting to follow this one.

        Best wishes, Sally Arteseros
